Deep tech video content marketing

The engineering is real. Now people need to see it.

I make founder-led films which turn hard-tech problems into stories audiences actually want to watch — so that you can grow and own your own audience.

Because the techno-optimistic narrative isn't going to spread itself.

For investors

Your portfolio already has the best stories in the industry. Someone just has to tell them.

Founders are building. Investors are investing. And the incredible visual stories of the new world they're creating are being told by…?

In this new age of media the keys to attention lie in the hands of those with access to the best stories. And you already have the access.

Founder-led films made with your portfolio companies compound both your authority, and theirs. On your channels. On your own schedule. Techno-optimistic by default.

It's a media ecosystem which no single stakeholder could build alone.

That's how the best talent decides you offer more than capital. It's how LPs see your thesis working before the numbers prove it. And it's how the industry learns who you are before you even enter the room. So that when you do, you're already a step ahead.

Content strategy first. Interviewing second. Filmmaking last.

For founders

Everyone wants to see what you're building

Your story is your most powerful marketing asset. A documentary-style brand film showing you and your team solving actual problems is proof that the work is real, hard, and matters.

One shoot day is all it takes to get started. And it will do more to attract talent, investors and clients than any slide deck you (and Claude) have ever made before.

My job is to make the conversation feel like a conversation, ask the questions that get past the rehearsed answer, and shape what's left into something people actually want to watch to the end.

Animations. Case studies from the field. A fancy website. These can all be added later (and I can do these for you as well!). But your story is the starting point.

Portrait of Kyle Oberholzer holding a camera on a tripod by the water

Hi, I'm Kyle!

Deep tech nerd. Interviewer. Video content marketer.

Before learning how to grow audiences on the internet I spent years making videos which no-one watched. Because I thought I was just a "filmmaker". It was only when I started thinking of myself as a marketer that everything started to click. Who would have thought that distribution actually matters?

In 2026 I helped grow Foundation Zero's LinkedIn audience from 1,000 to 4,000 followers, and brought their YouTube subscribers from 0 to 1,250. Because I finally started to focus on finding real stories, and telling them in ways that actually work on the internet.

  • 01
    Content strategy

Understanding the audience you want to reach, the platforms they hang out on, and what stories make them tick.

  • 02
    Interviewing

Most technical founders and engineers aren't natural performers, and supporting them to put their best foot forward on camera has become the most rewarding part of my job.

  • 03
    Filmmaking

I've built up a great team of cinematographers, editors and thumbnail designers to help me do this at a level which suits your budget.
